Nine plus five

I´m comin´home, I´ve done my time...

Volcanoes and easyjet permitting, we should be returning to Newcastle tomorrow and back in Edinburgh by late afternoon after our extended stay in Mallorca. Sean was rather disappointed, and so was I, as the forecast for the next few days is good and we had a great day at the beach yesterday in Porto Cristo. But enough is enough and when I spotted I was able to transfer our Tuesday flight to an earlier one (tomorrow) I knew it was time to bring our nine days´ plus five extra days´ holiday to an end.

We were fortunate that the house in which we were staying was free for the extra time so the pain has mostly been in the back pocket, paying the extra for the house and car hire. Hopefully the flight money will even itself out. Michael and Marie fly back to Shannon late tonight. So, the packing has been done and the return leg of the journey is about to begin...
