We're just back from a very pleasant weekend break to Harrogate to see the Shaws who are taking to life amongst the blue-rinse brigade in Yorkshire's premier spa resort like Peking ducks to plum sauce. Sharon didn't fancy getting her bump stuck in the cave in How Stean gorge but she thoroughly enjoyed her dinner and the Victoria Wood cabaret at fabulous Nidd Hall. So we can look forward to life after 50 with a coach tour down here! The Shaws are staying near the Stray, a central grassy area reminiscent of the Meadows in Edinburgh, and are a short stroll away from the famous Betty's Tearoom.
